Teen Blackout Storytelling & Poetry

Teens 6th to 12th grade can register to join us for "Teen Blackout Storytelling & Poetry", in celebration of National Poetry Month, which is April!

We'll have various older books teens can dig through for an inspiring page, story, or set of words. You can then choose to use various black permanent markers to frame those words however you'd like! Teens might draw whimsical pictures to help tell the story, or creatively blackout the page to showcase an interesting poem. We'll then tape the finished product to a matte frame so teens can take it home and display it in their home (or donate it to the library so we can display it for them). Even if you aren't able to finish, you can take the items home and finish it later!

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. 15 slots available. For teens 6th to 12 grade only. Go here to register online (do not use school e-mail address): http://www.portagelibrary.us/node/854/register
