Be sure to pick up your intergalactic passport for an out-of-this-world experience with Star Wars Reads Day at Portage Public Library! Participate in the constume contest, wipe out Storm Troopers and more, and enjoy refreshments. Free and open to children of all ages!
For toddlers ages 18-36 months and their favorite adult. Come and enjoy 30 minutes of stories, songs, rhymes, and a variety of other activities to engage toddlers! The first Toddler Thursday will be September 3rd at 9:30AM.
Preschool Story Time
Story time begins September 22nd and 23rd and is held from 10:00am to 10:45am for ages 3-5 years.
Baby & You on October 5th, November 2nd, and December 7th
Story and play time for babies birth to age 17 months to be held the first Monday of October, November, and December.
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) for Preschoolers!
Registration begins September 1st!
Activities will be held 10/30, 11/20, and 12/18 for 4-6 year olds
Upcoming Children's Programs and Activities
When choosing books for beginning or emerging readers, be sure to look for colored dots on books in the easy reader collection. The colored dot will be on the spine of the book and is meant to be a recommendation when choosing books for beginning readers. Red Dot books are pre-primers for children just starting to read.
Youth Services Displays: Be sure to check out the youth display case near the front door to the Youth Department. You'll always find up-to-the-minute programming information.
