Using the copier is easy at Portage Public Library. Our copier is available for black and white copy, color copy, fax and scan services. The copier is found near the internet computers in Adult Services.
Copies are 25-cents per side for black and white and 50-cents per side for color. To get started insert cash or coins into the coin box next to the copier.
Lift the lid and place your original face down on the glass in the upper left hand corner by the arrow. Alternatively, if you have a large number of copies to make you can place your originals face up in the document feeder on the top of the lid.
You can adjust many settings on the copier including contrast, brightness, collation, double-sided copies, number of copies and more. After you’ve selected your options press one of the large buttons on the LED screen on the copier.
When you’re finished, press the silver button on the top of the coin box to retrieve your change.
To Fax or Scan:
To fax, place pages face up in the document feeder and follow instructions given on the sign just to the right of the machine. Documents will feed through and a confirmation page for proof that it was sent will print once the fax is sent. Faxes are $1.00 per page, paid at the circulation counter.
To scan, select the scan option and type in the email address of the recipient. A keyboard pulls out from under the screen to type in the address. Place documents face up in the document feeder and press start. Scanning is FREE.
