Teens can join us in the teen program room throughout June and July for TWO programs a week! Programs will be held on Tuesdays from 1:00-3:30 PM (typically a movie or something else to watch), and Fridays from 3:30-5:30 PM (a craft, board games, video games, something like that!). All programs are for teens 6th-12th grade only. If you'd like specific details about what we're watching or planning on doing, please check out our teen facebook page at www.facebook.com/PortageTeens. Outside of our programs, if you'd like to just come hang out in the teen space and play our games, feel free to do so!
We are also hosting a Summer Reading Program for teens throughout the same time period. Teens will be able to create an account (or use one they've already created for past reading programs) online with Wandoo Reader. Then just read, read, read - and log your reading time online. Every 300 minutes (or 5 hours) read completes a "challenge" for the Summer 2018 Teen Reading Program on Wandoo, making the teen eligible to claim a ticket at the library front desk and deposit them in one of our 8 respective prize jars. Each prize jar corresponds with a prize package at around $50.00 in value! So the more you read, the more tickets you earn, the better your chances! We will also have other giveaways throughout the Summer.
